The fifth annual BET HONORS gears up for a highly anticipated show, celebrating the outstanding achievements of extraordinary legends in music, literature, entertainment, media, service and education. This will be a night filled with amazing performances including Kelly Rowland, singing a signature classic to Mariah Carey herself. The BET HONORS premieres during Black History Month, on Monday, February 13 at 9PM.
Other honorees at the fifth annual BET Honors 2012 will include Maya Angelou, Stevie Wonder, Spike Lee, The Tuskegee Airmen and Beverly Kearney, with Michelle Obama also promising to appear.

I'm the BIGGEST mariah fan ever, I love Kelly, so i'm very excited about the performance, but let's be real, she doesn't have the vocal range to sing most mariah's songs, the only she's gonnna be able to sing I think is HERO, and i'm sure it's gonna be this one !
I think Kelly can sing all mariah's song in her way. Kelly has strong voice too. Go Kelly... You can sing My All.

Id be in vocal coaching daily!!! She can pull off a shocker. I just hope her nerves and that shakyness dont ravish the performance. There is a lot of pressure, and its in from of Mariah Carey! This can make or break her career!
The song she should consider is- I Still Believe. It means the most to Mariah Carey, because its a remake from her idol that she sangf background for. If Kelly takes it slow and brings that When Love Takes Over voice, she can make it powerful
i totally agree -kelly has soo many haters and everyone wants to see her fail so she has to bring it like i know she can - as long as its a ballad and she isnt moving around too much then she should be fine - im curious tho to see what song she is going to sing - i think she should do Keep it Between Us and mix it with we belong together - GOD I HOPE SHE KNOCKS IT OUT THE PARK but i got a feeling that she knows what she is doing - she is A GROWN ASS WOMAN! WORK!

The show is not about who can sing as well as Mariah. Rather she was "the least talented singer" in the world, which is not the case. I'm sure that she took it as a honor just because she's the chosen one to do so. I'm happy for her:)
I heard she's doing the Fantasy remix. That's a great choice but that is still a very difficult song to sing. Even Mariah said that (even though she was talking about the origina). People underestimate Kelly's voice. I think she will do great. I'm not sure if she could pull off something like Hero but she's gonna be just fine with the Fantasy remix.
singing ain't about range or hitting notes, she would definitely sing on her own way
