Hot on the heels of her nomination for Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist at the American Music Awards, Kelly Rowland turns up the temperature in the tantalizing video for “Lay It on Me,” the Hit-Boy-produced single off her latest album Here I Am.
If you didn’t get your fill with “Motivation,” the R&B diva piles on more sex as she gets intimate with her half-naked male co-stars (woah der), fondles a slinky, cozies up to an elephant, and flirts with Big Sean, who had no complaints about working with the sexy singer.
“It’s always tight being around Kelly Rowland. You can’t really complain. She’s always fine as hell,” he told Rap-Up TV. “I really like how she has the energy of a new artist, but she’s such a vet in the game. She’s so legendary and sold millions of record, but she’ll come in the room and greet everybody. She has no ego and that’s something I really look up to.”

yasss ms kelly better work! so classy and elegant which is what she does so well – even tho its a sex song there is no profanity or any overly suggestive lyrics which is why i stan for her so hard – shes just so tasteful. the video i love as well – the song was a grower and now i love it and the video will only help the song grow – lets keep her trending on twitter and get this song to number 1 – work!
well i see the similarities in three scenes which are..laying on the men, the huge sheet in the back ground but alot of people do that one and the yellow latex stretching...but u can say livi got the chair scene from kelly rowland's like this video..no shade but kelly pulled it off way better

Copying? NO. Repurposing? YES. Both videos were directed by Sarah Chatfield. I think it's a little difficult to copy from yourself. Try impossible. Kelly's video is way better. Fantastic job.
Can we be honest people ? I'm one of the most loyal and dedicated Kelly Rowland fans on the planet (bought all her albums on multiple formats, seen her live 4 times etc.), but what's new with this video ? AND, does "Lay It On Me" even justify a video ? Is the song's recent slide on the charts coincidence or reality ? I feel like I've seen this movie too many times ... was this a sequel to "Motivation" - daytime version ? Sexy dancers showing their abs, feeling each other out etc. Seriously, how many times are you going to watch this ? AND, will you be listening to "Lay It On Me" 5 years from now (probably not) ! "Rose Colored Glasses", "Forever and A Day" and "Unity" are WAY BETTER songs and will last the test of time !!! CASE IN POINT - how does "UNITY" end up on a recent greatest hits album (titled Work - Best Of Kelly Rowland) in UK and Europe region and there's NO VIDEO for this gem of a track ? Answer - because it's a proven HIT ! Why hasn't Kelly embraced this song, performed it live, shot a video etc ? Would love to see a classic black and white video for "Unity" with Kelly somewhere in Europe (i.e. South of France) ... experiencing a romantic relationship / break-up as she has to part ways with the guy of her dreams that she just met ~~ classic Hollywood style. This would be EPIC !

The video is actually getting majority positive responses everywhere. I can't stop watching it. Yes, we all know the single is weak vocally- but it has radio appeal. I wouldn't count it out just yet. The weak catchy song Thing works for Rihanna. Yet, Rihanna never sells albums until the 5th single either. I dunno. We just need the stronger album cuts released. Keep it between us and Feeling me right now- leggo!
